What Should I Expect

Lovecraft Legacies: In the Kingdom of the Blind is an event designed to evoke a sense of terror and keep you hanging on to your last bit of sanity throughout the event. We've taken the dark horror of Lovecraft and a simplified rules system to help our players glean a frightening and fulfilling LARP experience. Note that this event is a completely stand-alone game, with no planned sequels and no relation to the previous Lovecraft Legacies events. First-time players are very welcome, as are experienced players.

The action will be unforgiving, so be prepared to lose your character to insanity or death. In this game, a character's death is permanent. If your character dies, you are more than welcome to come cast for us. If your character goes fully insane, you are also drafted into the dark ranks, and we will give you insidious tasks to perform.

Bear in mind that, according to this scenario, your arrival in a seemingly abandoned area of the British Colombian wilderness is on the night of Thursday, March 17, 1921, at approximately 10pm.

You can download version 4.25 of the rules here. Please especially make sure to check the rules for equipment, as we intend to have this event be a significantly more limited and survival-oriented than the last event, and weapons may be difficult to come by at first.

Registration: Pre-registration is highly recommended and easy. Sign up now!

Check-In 7pm: Once you have unloaded your car and parked it in the lot, you can check in. Please bring your weapons to Check-In for safety inspection. You can bring any melee weapon (though you may need to explain why you have it), but only pistols, rifles, and shotguns are allowed for firearms. It is not required that you wear your costume.

Opening Meeting: There will be an opening, out-of-game meeting prior to the start of the event. Game will begin directly or soon after the opening meeting, so you should come prepared and in costume.

Hours of Play: Lovecraft Legacies: In the Kingdom of the Blind' hours of play are approximately 10pm Friday to 2am Saturday, and 9am Saturday to end of game, sometime on Sunday morning. We'll break for some rest and have brunch around 10am or so, followed by the closing meeting and cleanup.
